February 27th. YouTube = Education

YouTube is one of my main sources of information.

This may sound strange, but there are tons of educational videos on every imaginable subject. If you want to learn about the internet, for instance, YouTube is the place to start. Today it is about 2 educational YouTubers.

Dan Brown (Pogobat)
Hank and John Green (Vlogbrothers)

Dan Brown, not the author of The Da Vinci Code, is a YouTuber with a following of over 190000 people. That’s quite a lot. He created a community Continue reading

February 19th. Say Cheese!

Today I’m doing something different.

Untill now, all my blogs were mainly textual. Sometimes there was a video, another website or a PotD (picture of the day), but it was all about the text. Today it’s picture time.
Below there are 3 pictures I found on three different websites. They all have a little explanation and a link to the website. Enjoy!

The picture: I think it’s photoshopped, but it is still very awesome. Look how big that whale is!
The website: Imgur.com
A simple site where you can share pictures and see a gallery full of Continue reading

February 18th. Apple’s success

Today in an old-fashioned blog I want to talk to you about Apple products and why we pay so much for them.

So, it got me thinking. It seems a little that Apple is taking over the whole technological world, and personally, I wouldn’t mind. Apple is awesome.
What strikes me though is that people massively buy Apple products that are little or no better than the competition’s product, but people are willing to pay more for it. Why? Because Steve Jobs and his team are brilliant, thats why. Continue reading

February 12th. It Made My Day

As an update to February 4th – My Life is Average – I now present to you: It Made My Day (IMMD).

IMMD is actually pretty much the same website as MLIA.
People post ‘little moments of win’ and it is rated by others. The difference is that the stories here end with ‘IMMD’, which makes for some difference in the stories actually submitted.. The website itself is a little better too. You can easily post, rate up or down, retweet, or share through Facebook. Again, here are 5 awesome posts and my own as a bonus:

I work a cash register at a convenience store and today a child came up the register and started sniffing the air. I inquired, “You smell something?” to which he replied, “No, I’m just a werewolf.”
IMMD Continue reading

February 10th. Human to beast.

How to transform a human into a beast in less than 6 months (Yesterday’s blog is a sort of part 1)
In his show ‘Life Is Worth Losing’ George Carlin has an interesting theory in humans. He calls them semi-civilized beasts that will return to their primitive manners in no time. All you got to do, is turn off the electricity.

Lets turn off the power

Everything we do depends on electricity. Our food is reliant on it in every way. We breed animals and grow crops with the help of machines, transport them with vehicles that need power, store them in electrically cooled buildings and fridges/freezers and heat them up electrically.

So, no food like we know it. Interesting. Continue reading
