mushrooms they sprout
by the trunk of a tree
that I’ve known in it’s glory
in my youngest years
when I hid
I’d come back to it
running for vict’ry
when I’d overcome all my fears

fortune’s a blessing
truth is a virtue
I’ve learned to control in my time
the latter the master
struck by revolution
whenever I fall back in lies

Eyes of Glass

Too young in fact to be passing through this white gate
at least for my reason of presence
a labyrinth of stone
in a last attempt to capture their essence
I feel at ease here
home
where I once was afraid
the warm sand slips through my fingers
the very sand whereunder faith
I feel as if I am alone here
among more names than I can remember
and those who too come visit
their eyes of glass offer no recognition.

Everybody lies

Everybody lies.
Some of their day
some of their past
some of their night
some on their bed
or of their bed
about their bed
around their head
with horns of red
a halo black
the wings of bats are on their back
the marks of sixes in their neck.

The deepest hell is there within
for deadly sin
unjust and lust
a ruined trust
when it’s their turn they’ll crash and burn
will always yearn unless they learn
sent to flame when one dies
where people burst in deafening cries
where friends and families re-unite
for everybody lies.

of blue
to green
to red

as if a final bed of clothes
wherein wrapped until time
the same time that healeth
rips and tears
until i am left a clueless man
